TAI CHI

Tai Chi is a recreational fitness form of flowing movements designed to exercise and develop the body and mind in unison. The movements are performed in a slow dream-like pace, with deep concentration and diaphragmatic breathing to transport one into a state of tranquil relaxation.

Tai Chi utilizes the principle of non-physical exertion and internal organ exercise by way of corrective breathing, controlled stretching and gentle artistic movement to improve strength and balance. 

Completion of at least one in Beginners is recommended.

Wear comfortable clothing, shoes and bring a water bottle

Qi Gong - (All Levels)

This slower paced class focuses on balance, proprioception and precision.

Exercises that will improve posture, hip strength, leg strength and upper back strength.

This class is suitable for participants who are new to Qigong, recovering from injuries or post-natal.

INTRO to qigong

Qigong is a traditional Chinese practice that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, known as "qi."

It is often used for health maintenance, therapeutic purposes, and spiritual advancement. The methods of Qigong typically involve a series of gentle movements that are easy to learn and perform, making them accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. Techniques include static poses, dynamic movements, controlled breathing, and meditation. With a focus on aligning the body, mind, and breath to enhance the flow of qi, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being.

Regular practice of Qigong is believed to improve circulation, flexibility, and balance, while also fostering mental clarity and emotional serenity. There are numerous styles of Qigong, each with its own specific techniques and emphasis.
