Realism - Monochromatic *NEW

In this workshop, we’ll dive head-first into the world of realistic portrait painting with acrylics.

Supporting artists from the ground-up, this course builds foundational skills in form and value, with learners gaining familiarity in the handling of acrylic paint.

With a focus on light and shade, the course will begin by breaking down the forms with a value study of our reference. With a clear understanding of the structure of our shapes, we’ll then render a finished painting with a level of complexity that achieves the illusion of life.

Learners will come away with a black and white portrait and a nuanced understanding of value and light.

Experience in painting is ideal.
